How to Be a Democrat: Insert Thumb Up Ass

So how many gifts do the Dems need to get before they will finally get up off their collective sorry asses and SPEAK UP WITH ONE VOICE LOUD AND CLEAR about what is going on in this country? Who in the party is going to grow a set and go on the offensive??? This is NOT politics as usual. This is not just another Washington shell game. This is a real bonafide attack from within. When are they going to do something? I don't know who I'm more angry with, the traitorous Republicans who instigated this or the traiterous Dems who stood by and let it happen.

The only people I trust right now are Keith Oberman, Stephen Colbert, and Stephanie Miller. They have voices and they use them, unlike Dems who were actually elected to do so.

WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO STOP THESE MAD MEN???

What the fuck is the rest of Washington and the world doing while this nutcase and his insane crew start WWIII??? Will it actually take a nuclear explosion to get people to finally wake up to what Bush & Co. are willing to sacrifice to feed their own psychotic power-mad myths?

Use of Iraq terror group bypassed Congress, sources say

Concern is building among the military and the intelligence community that the US may be preparing for a military strike on Iran, as military assets in key positions are approaching readiness, RAW STORY has learned...Two air-craft carriers are already en route to the region, RAW STORY has found. The USS Abraham Lincoln, which recently made a port call in Singapore, and the USS Enterprise which left Norfolk, Virginia earlier this month, are headed for the Western Pacific and Middle East. The USS Ronald Reagan is already operating in the Gulf.

Never Rile a Bee with a Rolling Pin

I still don't have my PC back. Nerdly over at PCW called yesterday to tell me, "Umm, yeah, it's like, fixed. We changed the backlight? But, um, there was a problem? Yeah, there's a big line running across the LCD now. And um, I can't fix that. So, um, do you want to come and pick it up?"

"Okay, umm, no. I want you to fix what you broke."

"Umm, that will cost about, um, $400 dollars?"

"Is your manager in?"
"He's, umm, out until Friday?"
"Okay, give him my number and have him call me."
"Right. Umm, okay, I'll try?"
"Not try. Do."
"Umm. 'K"

Needless to say I have not heard, umm, a word. I'm going down there tomorrow to verbally assault the staff.

Why I Hate Driving in Connecticut

This is what its like on a daily basis at some point on the 90+ exit stretch of death known as I-95. One can only imagine what this driver was doing, or what the moron who cut him off was doing when this happened. It was raining lightly by the time Niels from work crawled by and took these pictures, but there was no rain when the accident took place. The driver is in the hospital and if he wakes up will probably be thankful that his truck was longer than the distance between the ground and the overpass.

Move!

I could have used Nick Burns this weekend. My five year old piece o' crap Dell Inspiron 8100 went to black this Sunday for no reason. Black as a ... blackboard (!) So because I don't have an annoying computer guy handy (one would think because I live with an IT guy that I would have my bases covered, but apparantly that is not the case.) Anyway, I had to hunt down some annoying computer geeks at PCW who are charging me $170 to change a light bulb. They say its a backlight for the screen but that to me is a lightbulb. As Kevin pointed out, I've left my laptop on practically every moment for the last four years and that MIGHT be a contributing factor to the black void in which I found myself. It might be true, but I don't have to like it. So tomorrow I should have my laptop back and be once again in the thows of rabid blogdom (not pilfering time from the company man like I am now.) Remind me to share my views on Condaleeza Rice and the Bush Administration's asinine playground response to the letter from the Iranian premiere. Schmucks.
