ANOTHER FUN NIGHT ON THE ROAD

Flat tire tonight outside the house of a friend where we were attending a Christmas party. Supposed to be celebrating another friend's birthday two hours later. Ooops. Flat tire. Call AAA. Tow truck arrives. Lug nuts have been cross-threaded by the last lunkhead who put on a tire. So the AAA guy can't get the tire off without breaking the lugnuts. No lugnuts, no tire on car. So back he went for an air compressor. Came back, put air in the tire and said, "Follow me to the shop and I'll put in a plug. But you're going to have to drive kind of fast..." I guess so the air wouldn't lead too fast? Anyway, went through 4 yellow/red lights on a careening tour through Norwalk to a shop on the edge of I-95 that would be the perfect place to hide some bodies.

Called the birthday girl and cancelled the rest of the evening.

Automotively speaking, I can't wait for this year to end.
