Moxie Movie

I hadn't see "The Green Mile" since it's theatrical run until tonight. I really like this movie. For a prison film its remarkably civil. Some might call it trite or hokey, but I guess I like my stories of good vs. evil like that. Michael Duncan Clarke is so massive his muscles look ready to explode from his skin. But his gentleness inside that body is remarkable. And I love his quote near the end of the film, where he tells Tom Hanks' death row "boss" that giving the order to "Roll on 2" and flip the switch to the electric chair will be a blessing. "Mostly I'm tired of people being ugly to each other. I'm tired of all the pain I feel and hear in the world everyday. There's too much of it. It's like pieces of glass in my head all the time. Can you understand?"

Anyone that follows politics on a regular basis these days sure can understand.
